TeraLearn Announces its 3.5 ReleaseTeraLearn.com, Inc., a California-based content management company, recently launched its highly anticipated 3.5 release. A few of TeraLearn's new features include a custom course or curriculum completion certificate, integration with Microsoft Outlook calendar management and sort by features allowing learning resources to be viewed by type, access date or alphabetically . Dr. Eric Parks, COO of TeraLearn.com, points out that, "Organizations are looking for more effective ways to reward online learning." Research indicates that the award of a certificate is an effective way to motivate completion. This is especially important with online learning were distraction has been reported as a problem in completion. TeraLearn leveraged its most important resource, its current customers in the design of this feature. A series of focus groups were held in order to examine a prototype version of the new certificate feature. The outcome of this effort was a certificate that can be extensively customized to include a company logo, graphics and unique text. Over a dozen options are provided for unique border and background colors. The certificate is converted for printing to a PDF format allowing enhanced security and easy landscape printing. "Although we typically make major upgrades at the end of each calendar year, this mid-year release was driven by customer demand," states Dr. Parks.
